Founded in 2001, the Athena Research and Innovation Centre in Information, Communication and Knowledge Technologies is committed to building knowledge and technological solutions for a digital society. In collaboration with the Greek public administration, ATHENA provides knowledge management and information systems technologies for large-scale knowledge management, data-intensive applications and for a wide range of digital resources. The key personnel of ATHENA have significant experience participating in and leading EU projects, with an emphasis on topics such as Open Data, Big Data management, Cloud technologies and e-Infrastructures.
