In this session, members of the DICE project have presented and answered questions about their work on managing and protecting sensitive research data (such as health-related data).
Participants heared about issues of working with sensitive data when viewed as a full cybersecurity
challenge, including threat analysis, risk assessment, and vulnerability monitoring. In addition, the
challenges of working with sensitive data in an Open Science context have be discussed.
DICE researchers have presented strategies for keeping metadata freely available even while protecting the underlying datasets. OpenAIRE researchers have presented strategies for anonymising sensitive data. Participants also heared about the challenges of sensitive data in a context of heterogeneous
resource federation.
