The European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly is a meeting that brings together geoscientists from all over the world, covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences.
The EGU provides a valuable opportunity for scientists, in particular early career researchers, to present their work and engage in discussions with experts from various fields of geoscience.
The event is designed to foster a learning environment that encourages the exchange of ideas and understanding of different approaches and examples related to Earth, planetary, and space sciences.
The event includes union-wide symposiae, debates, medal and award lectures, short courses, education and outreach sessions, union administrative meetings, splinter meetings, side events, and inter- and transdisciplinary sessions. It will also cover topics such as digital twins, digital earth, digital geosciences, global geoscientific initiatives and research, sustainable energy, geo-resources, and land-use for the future, citizen science, as well as science for citizens in geoscientific research.
With a wide range of disciplinary sessions, Inter- and Transdisciplinary Sessions, on topics such as Citizen science and science for citizens in geoscientific research, or Geosciences Instrumentation & Data Systems (GI), but also Education and Outreach Sessions (EOS), the EGU GA promises to offer many valuable contributions to scientific progress and collaboration, with EOSC as a key partner in support of Open Science.
This Spring, the EGU General Assembly comes to Vienna, at the Austria Center!
