Commission procurement results commit to maintaining the EOSC platform

In December 2022, the European Commission launched a public procurement action under the Horizon Europe programme: ‘Managed Services for the European Open Science Cloud Platform (EOSC)’. Last week, the results were officially announced, signalling a continued commitment to developing an operational EOSC platform. 

EOSC procurement action results  

The EOSC procurement action has been divided into 3 lots, whereby consortia members will ensure the operation, maintenance and support for core EOSC components and services: 

  • Lot 1 – Core Federation Services for the EOSC EU Node (e.g. the front office, resource catalogues, the EOSC Federated AAI, etc.) 
  • Lot 2 – Exchange Infrastructure Services for the EOSC EU Node (e.g. compute and bulk data transfer, etc.) 
  • Lot 3 – Exchange Application Services for the EOSC EU Node (e.g. sharing, notebooks, large file transfers, etc.)
